A typed notice affixed to the inside front cover notes that "The prices in this catalogue are list subject to a discount of 40% from stock and 40/10% on import." and follows it up with a more detailed discussion of finishes and delivery times from England. The index also notes "plussage" for oxidized silver, nicola, brassola, copper, pewter or Verde green. From the front notice it appears that the company (Skinner-Hill) only stocks the S.O.C. or antique finish but can order from England (or I presume polish and re-finish for other finishes in house). There are stamps, inserts, pasted in paper, and other artifacts indicating necessary re-pricing either at the time of the catalog's issuance, or more likely during it's use. The catalog has remarkable depth from fireplace accessories to cork openers, toasting forks (with stamped note indicating a price advance is necessary), door knockers, bookends, table bells, ash trays, caddy spoons, paper knives, book markers, ink stands, tobacco boxes, letter boxes, engraved sundials, candlesticks, electric wall brackets, brass electroliers, lamps, brackets, toilet sets, jardiniers, hat coat and tie racks, etc etc. Uncommon, with a half-dozen copies in OCLC/Worldcat of this catalog as of this writing.…
