Contains 184 plates identified by maker, marks, and with a full description of each item with measurements, etc. Also includes biorgrphical notes on the silversmiths. The most complete reference on the subject. Light blue-green hardcover with black cloth spine, 288 pages, printed dustjacket. The book is in very good condition with firm binding, clean pages, no names or other markings. The mylar protected dustjacket is also very good with very minor shelf rubbing and light rubbing to the corners, no chips or tears. First Edition. Hard Cover. Jacket has numerous losses along the edges, although now encased in a Mylar sleeve. Inscribed by one of the authors to Nancy and Milo Naeve, significant collectors and scholars of silver, whose collection is now esconced at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. Other than this inscription, the interior is clean and clear of markings, and the binding is tight and solid. An early, but significant study of the subject, with numerous black and white photographs and extensive cataloguing. Inscribed by the Author.
