Orig. published in 1877, this is an 1880 printing of that First Edition. With rust-colored cloth over boards decorated with black design to front cover & spine, lettered in gilt to spine, this 12mo (5.25" x 7.5") is in Good+ condition: generally quite clean, pages moderately tanned, heavier around edges, but completely unmarked save for scattered, mild foxing & an ownership inscription in pencil to second free front endpaper by the Woman's Christian Temperance League. This copy is from a 19th Century private lending institution, the Mercantile Library of New York City. There are no external indications of the library's ownership.
