Oltre la geografia, cui sono dedicati addirittura i primi 12 libri, concerne l'anatomia e la patologia dell'uomo (libro XXV), la zoologia (libro XXVI), la botanica (libro XXVII), le scienze matematiche (con figura dell'abaco a f. CCCLXXI), l'ottica (con figure a f. CCCLXXII) e poi ancora la filosofia aristotelica, l'oratoria, la filologia, la giustizia.
