Spine-ends a little scuffed, with 2cm tear at left-hand hinge; cover otherwise clean; some foxing to fore-edges; largely clean internally, though f.f.e. has previous owner name and address in pencil, and p.17 has pencil scribble. First edition hard back binding in publisher's original illustrated sage green cloth covers, black title and author lettering to the spine and to the front cover. Thick 8vo. 8'' x 5½''. Contains 288 printed pages of text with colour frontispiece and 4 full-page monochrome illustrations throughout. Hint of foxing to the text block edges and in very Good clean condition, spine not faded, no dust wrapper. SIGNED by the author to the front free end paper 'With love from Walter, July 17th 1925.'
