Ajouter au panierFIRST EDITION, pp. 256, crown 8vo, original maroon cloth, backstrip lettered in gilt, a few small patches of blotchy faint fading to boards, a couple of tiny spots to textblock edges and a few to endpapers, dustjacket by Dorothea Braby, chipped, nicked and with some light rubbing to extremities, short closed tear at foot of front flap-fold, a few spots to front flap, very good. One of a handful of novels by an otherwise obscure author, all of them published by Hale. It is the portrait of a dilettante and bachelor, Maurice Piers. The dustjacket carries elegant designs to the front and backstrip panels by Dorothea Braby.
