Trade paperback. Etat : Very good. [6], 208 pages. Illustrations. Maps. Notes. Minor wear noted. This is a reprint of Lieutenant W. H. Emory's Notes of a Military Reconnoissance. William Hemsley Emory (September 7, 1811 - December 1, 1887) was a prominent American surveyor and civil engineer. He specialized in mapping the United States border, including the Texas-Mexico border, and the Gadsden Purchase border, and published lasting scientific reports on the border region. Those lessons learned he shared with us. His books and essays help open our eyes to New Mexico. Paperbound edition [stated]. Presumed first printing.…
