Paperback. Etat : New. Print on Demand. This book explores the concept of 'negotium gestio' - when an individual "the agent" manages and undertakes business on behalf of another individual "the principal," without being asked to do so. Historically, this concept has been throughly defined in Roman law over centuries. The author of this book reexamines the concept and its legal framework in detail, discussing the liabilities and obligations that arise from it. The book goes into great depth about how the agent's conduct should be interpreted legally, how their actions affect the principal, and how the principal should respond to the agent. The author also discusses the boundaries of an agent's abilities and obligations, the extent to which an agent can bind the principal to contracts and other obligations, and how the law attempts to balance the principal's interests with the agent's own. The book provides a clarified understanding of the history, the current parameters, and the complexities of this concept. It is a valuable resource for students of commercial law, legal practitioners, and anyone interested in the legal dimensions of agency and business management. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.…
