Collated, and illustrated with two plates to volume II, one of which is hand coloured.With volume I covering 'Acute Disease' and volume II 'Chronic Disease', a wealth of medical conditions are studied and examined within this lengthy work, with sections dedicated to fevers, inflammatory diseases and haemorrhages, alongside discussions of chronic diseases of the thorax, chylopoetic viscera and urinary systems, and 'constitutional diseases'.With a former owner's inscription to the head of each title page, and the library stamp of the 'Long Island Historical Society' to each title page, and no further library markings.These editions are updated to be relevant to American physicians by Nathaniel Potter and S.
