Aus dem Vorbesitz des Sammlerehepaares Inge Dehmel-Kleinknecht und Dr. jur. Max Dehmel, Ministerialrat a.D., geboren 1936 in Breslau. Dr. Dehmel war ab 1967 Referent und Referatsleiter im Ministerium für Wirtschaft und im Bundeskanzleramt. Das Ehepaar lebte 1979 bis 1984 in Ost-Berlin in der "Ständigen Vertretung der Bundesrepublik bei der DDR". In dieser Zeit leitete Dehmel die Wirtschaftsabteilung der StäV und vertrat die Bundesrepublik in filmpolitischen Angelegenheiten. Das Paar knüpfte zahlreiche freundschaftliche Kontakte zu Künstlerinnen und Künstlern, u. a. aus Ost-Berlin, Dresden und Leipzig // From the collection of the couple Inge Dehmel-Kleinknecht and Dr. Max Dehmel (retired Ministerial Counsellor), born in Breslau in 1936. From 1967 onwards, Dr. Dehmel served as a desk officer and head of division at the Ministry of Economics and the Federal Chancellery. Between 1979 and 1984, the couple lived in East Berlin at the Permanent Representation of the Federal Republic of Germany to the GDR. During this period, Dehmel headed the Permanent Representations economic department and represented the Federal Republic in matters of film policy.
