Uncommon (a cheaper soft cover version was published at the same time) hardback catalogue published by the Tate Gallery for a major exhibition of Constable's work staged 18 Feb to 25 Apr 1976 to celebrate the bicentenary of Constable's birth. Clean, square VG+ book in like unclipped wrapper (a little wear to extremities, minor surface marks and indentations). Exhibition flyer (fine) - I doubt whether many of these have survived - loosely inserted. Inscribed to reverse of FFEP "I hope it gives you / as much pleasure as it / has give[n] me all these years. / John Constable / (great-great-grandson!)"
