She was Baylor University's Teacher of the Year for 1965-1966. Smith was elected to the Texas Women's Hall of Fame in 1989. She was married to Charles George Smith ([891-1967], a professor of English at Baylor University. With a reprint letter providing more information on this title and a gift bookplate on the rear pastedown, presenting the book.…
