Bernhard Solger (1849-1935) "am 5. Dezember 1849 in Unter-Merzbach, Kr. Unterfranken, Bayern, geboren, studierte in Erlangen, Würzburg, Tübingen und München und promovierte 187…2 in Würzburg. Er trat in das Anatomische Institut in Breslau ein, habilitierte sich hier 1875 für Anatomie, kam 1876 als Prosektor nach Halle (1882 a. o. Prof.) und wirkte in gleicher Stellung von 1886-1904 in Greifswald. 1904 trat er in den Ruhestand und ließ sich als Dermatologe in Neiße, Ob. Schlesien, nieder. Anfangs mit Untersuchungen auf dem Gebiet der makroskopischen Anatomie und der vergleichenden Anatomie der Wirbeltiere beschäftigt, wandte er sich allmählich der Histologie und mikroskopischen Anatomie zu. Er beschrieb zum erstenmal die nach ihm benannten SOLGERischen Basalfilamente (Anat. Anz. 1894, Bd. 9, S. 415). U. a. publizierte er: "Zelle und Zellkern" (in Thiermed. Vortr.), Leipzig 1892, "Anatomische Einleitung (Harnapparat, Nebenniere)" (im Klin. Handb. d. Harn- u. Sexualorg. von OBERLÄNDEK-ZÜELZER), ib. 1894, "Gefriermethoden" (in Enzykl. d. mikroskop.
