Inscribed by actress Viola Allen, with signature dated 1901, below frontis mounted photo of Ms. Allen, and also on the final text page, written in ink, cursive handwriting, "Your Majesty -- I hold all I wish", this, in Ms. Allen's hand presumably. The two snippets of handwriting are not identical to our eye, but they do have similar flourishes, and we strongly believe the second piece is written by Ms. Allen. Folio. 33 by 25.5 cm. Unpaginated, 28 pages. Ten mounted photogravures. Also additional signed photo of Viola Allen. Moderate wear around edges of wraps, with short closed tears by spine extremities' fold, and the leaves within contain a few minor closed tears. Clean generally.
