There is quite a bit of blistering to the surfaces of the laminate and the rear panel is yellowed. Browning to the page edges with some scattered spots. Faint stain to the bottom corner of one page and there is a small piece missing from the bottom corner of the rear free endpaper. There is a little browning to the pages which are otherwise generally unmarked. Jacket and interior illustrations by John T. Kenney. First printing.

The price-clipped jacket has a two inch long piece missing from the centre of the spine and another one inch piece missing at the top. The front panel has a three inch closed tear at the top and another one inch tear at the top right corner and there is some chipping and heavy creases in this area. Half-inch closed tear to the top edge of the rear panel which also has some surface wear and browning. Illustrated in black and white with no credit given to the illustrator. First printing.

The price-clipped jacket has a small chip out of the bottom left corner of the front panel with quarter inch tears at the bottom right corner of the front panel and the top left corner of the rear panel.
