Soft cover. Etat : Good. 1st Edition. Worlds to Explore: Handbook for Brownie and Junior Girl Scouts. Girl Scouts of the U.S.A., New York, 1977. First Impression. This 1977 first-impression edition of Worlds to Explore, the official Brownie and Junior Girl Scout handbook of the late 1970s, offers a richly illustrated and compreh…ensive guide to badgework, skills, crafts, songs, outdoor activities, and international Scouting. The copy shows signs of genuine field use. The original owner, Tanya Reavis of Saxmundham, Suffolk (UK), wrote her name and address on both the cover and front endpaper. Two period first-aid checklists (one handwritten, one typed) remain laid in, adding authentic ephemera from her Girl Scout experience. Condition is Good overall, with expected age toning, tape shadows at the inner covers and several internal pages, marginal soiling, some page corner folds, and moderate rubbing to edges and covers. Despite use, the binding remains fully intact, pages are complete, and the text and illustrations are clean and readable throughout. Edition diagnostics confirm this is the true first printing, with the copyright page stating 'First impression 1977,' Cat. No. 20-700. Michael Chanswick (Art Director,) A Good Thing Inc. (Art Studio) (illustrateur).
