Large Hardcover Volume with black leathers and spine, back and front covers are blind-stamped with triple lines around the perimeter of the book and are smooth leather spine is textured leather with raised stamping horizontally with title, author, volume and publisher all in gilt lettering with horizontal gilt stripes, upper 2 inches of the spine is cracked at each hinge and small portion of the center is cracked but still in place, covers are lightly to moderately soiled, all page edges are gilt and lightly soiled, double end pages are green and gold marbelized printing, front cover has former owner's book plate, slight damage with missing bits of paper inside the front hinge, book is illustrated throughout with photos of various dentists. All pages are on coated paper, slight evidence of moisture damage on upper edges of pages but ending by page 50. HIstory of pioneer dentistry and dentists, those who pioneered various techniques in chronilogical order of their achievements, end section is list of dentists in Illinois, Michigan and Indiana in alphabetical order of the towns they practice in. covers are slightly warped from poor support during storage. Book corners show slight shelf wear. …
