First edition. Gift-inscribed by author on front endpaper, undated. Poems on class, homosexual love, and more. Tram Combs was born…in 1924 in Alabama, then lived in the San Francisco Bay Area for many years, graduating with a physics degree from the University of California. He was openly gay at least two decades before Stonewall, and a contributing writer to homophile periodicals. By the early '50s he had settled in the Virgin Islands while operating his own bookshop specializing in Caribbean literature.
