A pedra fundamental deste livro foi o grupo de pesquisa Relações Privadas e Internet, por mim criado e coordenado no Mestrado e Doutorado em Direito Civil da Faculdade de Direito da UERJ, juntamente com a disciplina homônima, ministrada entre 2009 e 2010 e voltada aos novos problemas gerados pela regulamentação civil da Internet no Brasil.
