Taschenbuch. Etat : Neu. Neuware - 'Stability of Two Dimensional Immiscible Flow to Viscous Fingering' explores the complex dynamics of fluid displacement in porous media. This study delves into the conditions under which viscous fingering-a phenomenon where a less viscous fluid displaces a more viscous one, leading to instability-occurs. The authors, Reyna, Lindquist, and King, employ rigorous mathematical analysis to examine the stability of the displacement process in two-dimensional systems. This work is essential for researchers and engineers in fields such as petroleum engineering, hydrology, and chemical engineering, providing insights into enhanced oil recovery techniques, groundwater contamination, and other applications where fluid flow in porous media is critical. The research offers a foundational understanding of the factors influencing the stability of immiscible displacement, contributing to more efficient and predictable fluid management strategies. This work has been selected by scholars as being culturally important, and is part of the knowledge base of civilization as we know it.
