Charles Edward Walch (1830-1915), was bookseller, publisher and lay preacher most noted for Walch's Tasmanian Almanac.

Lithographie originale signée, et justifiée sur XXX exemplaires, de Desnoyer, en sus de reproductions d'oeuvres du peintres et de photographies soigneusement tirées en hélio dont 1 de Cartier-Bresson et 2 de Doisneau. Bel exemplaire de luxe de cet hommage collectif à ce peintre par un mystérieux éditeur villageois de Haute-Savoie, trois ans avant celui consacré à Ramuz, dans une formule assez proche, en tirage parallèle à celui de la Guilde du Livre.Le texte introductif, frais et pimpant, est signé Paul Gay, dont nous ne savons rien. sinon qu'il s'agit du troisième signataire de cet éloge à bénéficier de ce beau prénom. Face à son portrait souriant, presque moqueur, croqué par l'ami Doisneau, ces quelques mots grappillés en passant : " Lorsque je le vis pour la première fois, j'ai cru voir un ange.
