Cecil Webb was the Superintendent of the Dublin Zoo and here teels of his lifelong, worldwide travels in search of wildlife for public institutions and private collections. Catching the creatures alive and unharmed was only a part--obtaining proper food, accustoming the animals to captivity, and the hazards of return journeys had to be thought of. Webb's ravels took him to remote parts of Africa, kenya, Mozambique, the Careoons, Ecuador, India, Australia, Indo-China, among other places.
