Dale, of Bangor, a letter, in which he states that you have desired him to engage me to lecture at Waterville on Friday, Dec. 28 . ". In the second letter: ". You can choose from three subjects - 'Joan of Arc', 'Martin Luther', and 'Cheerfulness'. At Bangor I am paid $50. If this is too high for you, please fix the price to suit your convenience.".…
