Hardcover. Etat : gut. 2003. The life and research of a scientist who is serving God and Mankind Very clear lectures given by W. Sutherland, changing the common view of healing . It is uniting body, soul and spirit. Osteopathy is a science with possibilities as great as the magnitude of the heavens. It is a science dealing with the natural forces of the body. We work as osteopaths with the traditional principle in mind that the tendency in the patient's body is always toward the normal. There is much to discover in the science of osteopathy by working with the forces within that manifest the healing processes. These forces within the patient are greater than any blind force that can safely be brought to bear from without. - William Garner Sutherland, D.O. William G. Sutherland, D.O., studierte mit Dr. Andrew Taylor Still, der Gründer der Wissenschaft der Osteopathie. Dr. Sutherland entwickelte viele zusätzliche Möglichkeiten zur Osteopathie. Dieses Lehrbuch ist eine Zusammenstellung seiner zusätzlichen Methoden, bearbeitet von Anne L. Wales, D.O., einer Schülerin und dann Lehrerin von Dr. Sutherland's Methodology. Hardcover. Etat : gut. 1972. This is the original 1st Edition that was approved by William G. Sutherland. In this book, Magoun takes the concepts of Sutherland and puts them into a text that became the standard for most osteopathic cranial training programs. In subsequent editions, many things were removed and added to make the text more "Scientifically Acceptable" and much of the essence of the osteopathic approach was lost. We feel this is a valuable contribution to the literature and we are happy that it is back in print. This is a text that should be an essential part of the library of any osteopath or cranial practitioner. Autor: The editor, Dr. Harold I. Magoun, Sr. (1898-1981) received his A.B. from Harvard University and his D.O. from the Andrew Taylor Still College of Osteopathy and Surgery in 1924. He spent two years in the Medical Corps of the American Expeditionary Force in World War I, was decorated for care of the wounded under fire, and also received the Purple Heart medal. He was prominent in professional circles, authored many articles in the professional literature, and did much postgraduate study and teaching during his years of practice. In 1940 he was awarded the honorary degree of Master of Science in Osteopathy, and received the Fellowship of the American Academy of Osteopathy in 1962 and the A.T. Still Medallion of Honor in 1967. Dr. Magoun served on the Board of Trustees of the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine for many years, was president of the Cranial Academy for three years, and was one of the founders of the Sutherland Cranial Teaching Foundation, serving as executive vice-president from 1953-1973 Osteopathy in the Cranial Field Harold Magoun William Garner Sutherland gebundene Ausgabe, Sprache Englisch Verlag SCTF, Original Edition Physiotherapie Ergotherapie Behandlungstechniken Osteopathie Manuelle Medizin Chirodiagnostik Atlas Schädel HumanMedizin Pharmazie Naturheilkunde Sprache: Englisch ISBN-10: 193029803X ISBN-13: 978-1930298033 EAN (ISBN-13): 9781930298033 ISBN (ISBN-10): 193029803X Gebundene Ausgabe Erscheinungsjahr: 1972 Herausgeber: Sutherland Cranial Teaching Foundation ISBN/EAN: 193029803X ISBN: 1-930298-03-X, 978-1-930298-03-3 In englischer Sprache. pages.…
