Hardcover. Etat : Near Fine. Grey wrappers, titled in black. Bound in blue morocco with gilt spine titling, gilt extra, spine edges a bit rubbed. Bookplate of Henry William Poor (of the Standard & Poor index). A very good bright copy "Paper and type tests are negative, but there seems to be nothing to authenticate it except Swinburne's signature on Mr Wise's copy. The British Museum copy was presented by Mr. Wise on 12 April, 1890, It is printed in a Clay fount (C) used for three forgeries and six other suspects . Mr Wise sold two dozen copies of this pamphlet at five shillings each to Mr Gorfin on 12 April, 1910: it has come up for sale in the auction rooms sixteen times since 1897. Although we cannot prove this pamphlet to be a forgery, its authenticity seems open to very serious doubt." (Carter & Pollard p.292).…

No Binding. Etat : Good. Printed self-wraps, the front cover being 1 of 12 total pages including the rear blank page. Sewn binding, covers very lightly browned compared to the interior pages, fragile, edges badly chipped but, because of the wide margins, the text is unaffected. see photos.
