A little rubbing to cover but otherwise a near fine copy.

Mostly German language but does have a lot of English helping to describe and explain. Especially nice is the frontis "Work Song" of Frank LLoyd Wright in hand-crafted Wright lettering in orange and black. Also there is a color fold-out of a built miniature model city titled: Project-Modell 1932 - "Broadacre City" - An ideal community envisioned by Wright. Size: 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.

Vintage photograph of the 1951 Frank Lloyd Wright house, the Clinton Della Walker house, also known as Cabin on the Rocks, on Carmel Point in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California, taken by photographer John R. Fulton Jr. for the Bay Area newspaper, The Mercury News, 1987. Mercury News mimeo snipe on the verso. An example of Wright's organic architecture, the Clinton Della Walker house is Wright's only house that overlooks the ocean, here viewed from the structure's east side, overlooking Carmel Bay. Designed by Wright in 1948 for Mrs. Clinton Della Walker, who said she wanted a house "as durable as the rocks and as transparent as the waves," it was built by Miles Bain and completed in 1951. When approached from the west, the house has the appearance of the prow of a ship jutting out from Carmel Point's rocky shoreline. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1977. The home was featured as the beach house in the 1959 film "A Summer Place," directed and written by Delmer Daves, and starring Richard Egan and Dorothy McGuire. 10 x 8 inches. Near Fine.

Ramblings from a man who has loved and lost with the blame firmly placed upon his own shoulders; a vexing manuscript from Wright clearly revealing the effects of his personal upheavals. "I am regarded as though I had stolen myself, gone off with what was not my own. And I am traduced, derided, despised, held up to public contempt and loathing. My character is remorselessly assassinated: no means however vile are spared to injure my property or my work. It is a falsity that men respect and honor independent of thought and action. Tolerance in anything or anywhere is plainly a gentle lie. It is in no man's heart. The perception of Beauty is a moral test. The body is the first proselyte the soul makes. Our life is but the soul made known by its fruits, -- the body. The whole duty of man is expressed in one line. Make to yourself a perfect body! To be a man is to do a man's work! The true laborer is recompensed by his labor not by his employer. Laws are a matter of lawyers and judges. Lawyers and judges, as such, are not men of sense or principle but creatures of law: In any high moral sense they are not men at all! Earth song. Universal [in pencil].
