Paperback. Etat : new. Paperback. The Quiet Mind is a practical, humane guide to neurodivergence, trauma, sensory overload and recovery.Written from lived experience rather than clinical distance, this book gives language to the inner noise many neurodivergent adults have carried for years: the sensory pressure, the emotional ex…haustion, the masking, the shutdowns, the meltdowns, the shame, and the strange grief of discovering late in life that the problem was never moral failure.David Buch writes as someone diagnosed later in life with autism, ADHD and complex post-traumatic stress, after decades of navigating high-pressure technical, legal and professional environments while privately managing a nervous system that was often overloaded, alert and misunderstood. The Quiet Mind does not promise a cure, because neurodivergence is not a disease. Instead, it offers a practical map for understanding overload before it becomes collapse. It explores how sensory input, trauma, executive function, masking, social exhaustion, burnout and old shame interact inside the body, and how small, repeatable practices can help reduce unnecessary internal war.The book is written for neurodivergent adults, late-diagnosed readers, trauma survivors, partners, parents, friends, clinicians, teachers, managers and anyone trying to understand why ordinary life can sometimes feel unbearably loud.Inside, readers will find clear explanations and practical tools for: recognising sensory overload before it spills over;understanding the ADHD/autism "double engine";distinguishing preference from capacity;reducing shame after meltdown or shutdown;using the body as an early warning system;creating routines that support rather than punish;communicating when flooded or wordless;building a personal quiet mind plan;recovering from burnout and masking;advocating without turning every need into a battle. This is not a book about becoming calm by force. It is a book about learning to notice earlier, reduce input sooner, recover with less shame, and design a life that fits the nervous system you actually have. The aim is not perfect calm. The aim is less unnecessary war. A guide to understanding the inner noise of neurodivergence. Learn to reduce overload, recover with less shame, and design a life that fits the nervous system you have. The aim is not perfect calm, but less unnecessary war. This item is printed on demand. in-4to, mit gestochenem Frontspiz, XVI (Titelbl. in rot und schwarz) + 696 S. + 8 Bl. Please notify before visiting to see a book. Prices are excl. VAT/TVA (only Switzerland) & postage. Wäber BSL III/29; Barth 23696.

The Delphi Way is a complete teaching book for modern Delphi and Object Pascal developers, taking the reader from first principles through to production-ready software.Written for beginners, returning Delphi developers, and working programmers who want a cleaner architectural approach, this book… covers the full path from a first Delphi program to real-world application development. It explains Object Pascal fundamentals, classes, interfaces, records, generics, exception handling, components, cross-platform development, FireMonkey, pas2js web development, PostgreSQL integration, service architecture, deployment, testing, monitoring, and production failure patterns.Unlike a syntax reference or a narrow IDE tutorial, The Delphi Way focuses on how to build software that can be maintained, extended, debugged, and deployed.
