26.0 x 18.0cms 180pp watercolour illusts very good+ hardback & dustwrapper Sumner was a major figure in the Arts & Crafts Movement when he abandoned London and went to the Hampshire countryside. He bought land on the edge of the New Forest and renovated a tumbledown cottage into his ideal home. He documented the process with a handwritten and lavishly illustrated record (c 1904-1909). His grand nephew used this manuscript as the basis for this book.
