Price is listed for $2 per annum. 4 pp.; 2) VOLUME XLIV, No. 51, printed in Charleston, South Carolina on Saturday, February 18, 1882. "Whole Number 2287". Samuel A. Weber, Editor. Price is listed for $2.50 per annum. 8 pp.; 3) VOLUME XLIV, No. 52, (2 copies), printed in Charleston, South Carolina on Saturday, February 25, 1882. "Whole Number 2288". Samuel A. Weber, Editor. Price is listed for $2.50 per annum. 8 pp.; CONDITION: These newspapers are in overall "good" condition, but are in absolutely remarkable condition for their age. All have toned with age, bear chipping and some wear both within the paper itself and around the edges. Several small closed tears throughout. Paper has toned as expected from the time period and some foxing and discoloration spots are present (particularly on the February 18th copy), yet all text is still quite dark and fully legible. All papers have been folded into quarters. A small, 1.25" x 0.25" label of the previous owner / possible subscriber is affixed at the top of the front pages of the November 12th and February 18th editions. An absolutely fascinating and remarkable set of historical Christian papers. Additional photographs available upon request. Full refund if not satisfied.

The last page of text is a list of school books printed by C Bathurst. Leather rather worn & scuffed with a small section missing from the rear board, corners worn though, spine scuffed & worn with…loss to the head & tail, hinges cracked but holding firmly. Gather Nn is a little loose in the binding resulting in the fore edge being worn, occasional ink splash & smudge, a nice copy. Selections from the speeches & addresses of the Roman Marcus Tullius Cicero [ 106 BC - 43BC ], the text here being that of the original Delphin edition, and edited by Charles de Hallot Merouille. 825 grams.
