In the event the Tory Lord Henniker was first past the post & Shawe elected as the second member. A seven-stanza pro-Tory ballad which raises the spectres of Radical, Traitor & Catholic, against Church, State & King. Evidently produced either for the first post Reform Bill election for the new constituency of East Suffolk at which Henniker was elected with the Whig Shawe, or for 1835 when the two Tory candidates triumphed.
