Etat : Good. 1945. 258 pages. Green pictorial dust jacket over green cloth with gilt lettering. Pages are lightly tanned and thumbed at the edges, with light foxing. Binding has remained firm. Boards are a little rub worn, slight shelf wear to corners, spine and edges. Corners are a little bumped. Spine ends are mildly crushed. Light tanning to spine and edges. Boards are bowed. Book has a forward lean. The unclipped dust jacket has heavy edge wear, with tears, chips and areas of loss. Moderate tanning to spine and edges.

Etat : Good. 1943. Reprinted. 258 pages. No dust jacket. Green cloth with gilt. Pages remain clear with minimal tanning and foxing, mild to end-papers and text-block edges. Some occasional mild cracking to gutters throughout, binding remains reasonably firm. Cracking to hinges, no damage to end papers. Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Moderate crushing to spine ends, with splitting, fraying and loss to the head, tail and joints. Book has a slight forward lean. Gilt lettering is bright and clear. Sunning to spine.

Hardcover. Etat : Very Good. 1st Edition. 1st edition without dw in The Sports and Pastimes Library series. A very good, tight copy with slight sunning to the spine in dark green boards. The book gives an outline of how at least 50 games are played; some are more familiar whilst others are quite obscure. The authors are well-known in this field.

Covers : very slight knocks front bottom corner & bottom edge of spine, 0.2cm spot on rear. Dw : 2cm loss top of spine, spine edges rubbed, slight foxed. Contents : slight browning to eps, few small fox spots outside edge of pages else very clean & tight & unfoxed. Clean tight copy. VG/VG-.
