"Since 1958 there have been continuous negotiations between Communist and Western countries for both a nuclear tests ban and disarmament. The problems have been debated in detail - in the Three-Nation Nuclear Test Conference, the Ten-Nation and Eighteen-Nation Disarmament Conferences, and the United Nations. These negotiations have met with more setbacks and disappointments than successes, and for most people have remained confused and obscure." --- Wright: G.C.M.G., British Delegate to the Test Ban and Disarmament Conferences 1959-63. --- Original navy papered boards, lettered gilt on spine (22.2 cm height). Decorated tear top edge, now closed, very slight fading to spine, now protected. Pp. xiv + (ii) - 17 -255 including Introduction, Bibliography, Appendices I-VII.
