The back free endpaper and pastedown contain manuscript research notes from the previous owner. General wear and ageing, particularly at the spine ends. A well-used book but good reading copy. The author was a journalist based in Munich prior to the outbreak of World War Two and closely observed the leading members of the Nazi party letting their hair down in that city. With the inserts and annotations, this book would be of interest to anybody researching Nazi Germany.
