This item is printed on demand - it takes 3-4 days longer - Neuware -The study provides a number of observations regarding effects of methanol extract and its fraction (Fraction-B) of leaf of Aegle marmelos (family Rutaceae) on infertility in male albino rats, in determination of its mean lethal dose and… its dosage form as microcapsules. Dose dependent response of methanol extract and Fraction-B of A.marmelos leaf were noted on in vitro motility of human spermatozoa. The in vivo antifertility activity of Fraction-B has been done in male albino rats. The anabolic effect suggested that Fraction-B has no general toxic effect on body growth. The weight of testis, epididymis and prostate gland was decreased, but the weight of seminal vesicle increased significantly in treated group. The histological study showed the blood supply around the seminiferous tubules was increased which was interpreted on the basis of dilated blood vessels. While in case of control group the blood supply was normal, Leydig¿s cells were showing hypertrophy in case of treated group. Sertoli cells were highly proliferated with large number of immature sperms adhere to them in Fraction-B treated group. Drug delivery through vaginal pessary is a promising area for continued research with the aim of achieving controlled release in a slow and sustained manner over longer periods of time. The aim of the study was to develop a newer prolong releasing Zidovudine vaginal pessary to treat HIV infections in women with better patient convenience. Zidovudine loaded vaginal pessaries were successfully prepared by using hot process or fusion method.PF3 and PF6 formulations containing Ethyl Cellulose and Chitosan (1:4) were selected and evaluated in order to achieve the objectives of this study. On the basis of In Vitro studies PF3 and PF6 showed controlled drug release in a sustained manner by following Zero order kinetics and following Fickian (n 0.5) diffusion.

AZT… microparticle AZMCs was prepared by O/O single emulsion solvent evaporation method (II) and evaluated for encapsulation efficiency, drug loading, surface morphology and invitro drug release profiles and drug release mechanism and optimized. To achieve second objective, optimized AZMC4 were encompassed in bioadhesive gel to form AZMBVGs by cold mechanical method and compared with the bioadhesive vaginal gel (BVG1) without microcapsule. The optimized microcapsules were incorporated in bioadhesive gel prepared using different bioadhesive polymer evaluated the gel for the encapsulation efficiency, drug loading,invitro release profiles and drug release kinetics, spreadability, extrudibility, bioadhesion , vaginal irritancy and pharmacokinetics study by invivo methods by using New Zealand white female rabbit model. A comprehensive protocol, for the AZMBVG was developed successfully. Further research in this area will be significant outcome for AIDS.
