Etat : Good + overall. An advertisement for a Cincinnati, OH manufacturer of church, steamboat and factory bells and more, printed in a variety of type faces within an ornate decorative border. Handsome steel engraving on verso by Bartlett entitled, "Court of the Mosque of Sultan Achmet". 10 1/2 x 8". Scattered fox spotting.

Wraps. Etat : Very good condition. Bell casting, with suite of 8 copper engraved plates, complete, plus 8 pp of accompanying text. In French. 1750 - 1772. Extract from Encyclopédie, ou Dictionnaire raisonné des sciences, des arts et des métiers. Produced in the age of Enlightenment, this encyclopedia documented all the trades of the time. Folio, 8pp extract, text in two columns, complete with the 8 plates, the first one being a large folding copper plate entitled 'Fonte Des Cloches, Echantillons et Diapasons'. Stitched binding, early blue paper wraps, printed on the inside with ads for other published works, the one at the rear being an architectural history dated 1857. Blue wraps, very good.

The posters (each 1010 × 380 mm) advertise this family of 'Instrumentalists, Vocalists & Comedians' and its supporting acts promising 'Character & Comedy, Scenas & Dances' - verily, a 'great success throughout the civilized world'. Printed by F.W. Niven Pty. Ltd., Printers, Lithographers, &c., Flinders Street, Melbourne, circa 1900 (one of the posters reprints a quote from the 'London Era', 3 August 1899). The text is printed in red (with the last three lines of one of them in blue). The illustrations - photolithographs of publicity shots - are printed in blue; there are nine on one poster and seven on the other, with only two in common. Lightly creased where loosely folded in three, with minor edge chips; overall, in excellent condition. [A duplicate copy of the example with seven illustrations is available on its own for $450].
