Gilt-lettered textured cloth a little rubbed; occasional light tanning internally; one gathering a little tanned; an excellent copy. A history and detailed catalogue of the postmarks the Russian Empire from the 1760s through to the widespread adoption of postage stamps in the 1860s, with parallel text in Russian and English. Number 212 of 1100 copies.
