Index. A few B&W photos t…o section header pages. Small B&W photos in text. Mary Moore, like Kate Aitken, started a food canning company with her sisters. Her first cookbook was written during the second world war to develop recipes using corn syrup for the sweetener as sugar was rationed. She wrote a daily food column which started in 1928. An excellent and uncommon cookbook which she published herself (the first printing was in 1978), with about 1000 recipes, quite clearly written. . (2.9 JM HOJ 300/b3 Size: 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.

The covers are remarkably clean and unmarked, with just light rubbing to the fragile spine. No significant creasing, just very light corner creases. In the fine structurally sound slipcase. Issued in a limited edition of 200 copies of which this example is numbered 80 and signed by each of the 16 contributors. A revival of 'New Worlds', originally produced as a magazine from 1936 as 'Novae Terrae' and renamed in 1939. During the 1960s and 1970s under the editorship of Michael Moorcock the magazine became famous for its avante garde approach and the development of New Wave science fiction writers.
