Hardcover. Etat : Very Good. No Dust Jacket. This lovely vintage book may or not be the first American printing (it was published by Ticknor and Fields in Boston in the same year; the first edition was published by John Murray in London in the previous year). It was printed on excellent paper, which has held up beautifully, with toning, but no appreciable amount of foxing. All the illustrations are present, and the large fold-out map is laid in. Following the text you will find a charming section of advertisements for other titles, enough to stir the longing for time travel.
