All pages, text and illustrations are in really good, clean, readable order. Printed in Great Britain by The Pitman Press, Bath. Set in Poliphilus Type and bound by J.M. Dent & Sons Ltd, Letchworth. The golden island of Tahiti seemed a paradise to the sea-weary crew of H.M.S Dolphin when, in 1767, they first set foot on its shores. This account of their experiences was written by the Master, to whose vivid and unspoken narrative have been added some piquant details from the Journals of other members of his ship's company.
