Diese verkörpert den Beginn der deutschen Revolution von 1918 bis 1923, einer fünfjährigen Phase großer revolutionärer Kämpfe und brutaler Niederschlagung der revolutionären Arbeiterbewegung. Diese Zeit ist voller Lehren für die Arbeiterbewegung und die Linke von heute. Dies gilt umso mehr, da der Weltkapitalismus in seiner größten Wirtschaftskrise seit der Großen Depression, die 1929 einsetzte, steckt. Diese Wirtschaftskrise ist auch eine politische und gesellschaftliche Krise und wirft die Frage des Sozialismus in neuer, scharfer Aktualität auf. Wir wollen mit den hier veröffentlichten Texten nicht nur der Revolution und ihrer wichtigsten ProtagonistInnen, Karl Liebknecht und Rosa Luxemburg, gedenken, sondern auch eine marxistische Analyse der Ereignisse bis 1923 anbieten und daraus entsprechende Lehren ziehen. Sascha Staničić stellt Vorgeschichte und Verlauf der Novemberrevolution dar und erklärt, warum diese scheiterte. Wolfram Klein hat die wichtigsten politischen Ideen von Rosa Luxemburg zusammengefasst und lässt vor allem sie selber zu Wort kommen.
